Last updated: July 2026 (switched to Google AdMob for advertising)
Namma Events ("the app") is a local events calendar. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
The app does not require you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers to browse events.
If you reach out to have your event featured (by phone or email), we use the contact details you give us solely to communicate about that listing. This contact happens outside the app itself and is not collected through the app.
The app is built using the following infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf:
Neither service is used to track individual app users or serve personalized/third-party advertising.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. We don't control what AdMob collects for this purpose — you can review Google's own practices in their Ads Policy and Privacy Policy. We do not build advertising profiles of our users ourselves, and no ad data is used by us for any purpose beyond showing ads through AdMob.
If you allow notifications, we store a push token on our servers — a random identifier assigned to your device by Apple or Google, not your name, email, or any other personal information — solely to send you a notification when there are events happening that day. This token is shared only with Apple's and Google's own push delivery services (APNs / FCM), which is the standard technical mechanism all apps use to deliver notifications on these platforms; it is not shared with any advertiser or other third party. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings, which stops all future notifications immediately.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top.
